New Delhi, August 13: HCLTech and NetApp have expanded their partnership to offer a hybrid cloud storage-as-a-service (STaaS) solution aimed at helping businesses scale artificial intelligence and other data-driven workloads.
The new offering combines HCLTech’s Utility for Everything (U4X) digital infrastructure framework with NetApp Keystone, a pay-as-you-go storage service. It allows companies to increase or reduce storage capacity, performance and data services based on their requirements, while supporting AI development and deployment through HCLTech’s AI Factory suite.
The companies said the consumption-based model could help businesses move from AI experiments to larger, enterprise-wide deployments while improving data readiness and governance. The solution is also designed to allow workloads to run closer to where data is stored, potentially improving efficiency and reducing the time needed to derive value from AI investments.
“Our collaboration with NetApp reflects our focus on helping enterprises scale AI in a pragmatic and efficient way,” said Rampal Singh, senior vice-president, Hybrid Cloud Business Unit at HCLTech.
The companies said the offering builds on deployments across industries, including a global food and beverage company and a European telecom provider, which benefited from greater flexibility, scalability and resilience.
