New Delhi, August 4: Google announced a series of artificial intelligence updates, including new Gemini models for developers, advances in robotics and tools aimed at making everyday tasks easier. The company introduced three new Gemini models, Gemini 3.6 Flash, Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite and Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber, designed to help developers build and scale AI agents with faster response times and improved efficiency.
Google also launched Gemini Robotics ER 2, which it described as its most capable “embodied reasoning” model yet. The technology is designed to help robots understand their surroundings, communicate with people and carry out complex, multi-step tasks.
The company also expanded Gemini’s integration with everyday applications. Users can now connect more of their apps to Google Search, while Gemini Spark can handle certain complex web tasks with users’ permission, such as researching flights or scheduling apartment viewings.
Google also made AlphaEvolve, its AI-powered code optimisation agent, generally available to Google Cloud customers. The tool can search for improved algorithms and return optimised, human-readable code. The company said its July updates were aimed at making AI “more practical, creative, and helpful” across work, everyday life and real-world applications.
