New Delhi, September 25: Nani-starrer The Paradise has recorded the biggest opening of the actor’s career, surpassing the Day 1 collections of HIT: The Third Case and Dasara. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the action drama earned Rs 74.90 crore worldwide on its opening day, according to trade website Sacnilk.
The film, which received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, opened worldwide on September 24, 2026, after strong advance bookings and paid premiere shows. It collected Rs 54.90 crore gross in India and Rs 20 crore overseas on Day 1. Its India nett collection stood at Rs 46.25 crore across 10,632 shows. The film’s India gross included Rs 13.95 crore from paid previews on September 23 and Rs 40.95 crore from its first full day on September 24.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana emerged as the biggest contributors, accounting for Rs 42.50 crore of the film’s India gross. Karnataka contributed Rs 6.05 crore, followed by the rest of India at Rs 3.33 crore, Tamil Nadu at Rs 2.55 crore and Kerala at Rs 0.47 crore.
During the paid preview run on Wednesday, The Paradise earned Rs 13.95 crore gross and Rs 11.60 crore nett from 900 shows, with theatre occupancy of 79%. On its first full day, screenings expanded to 9,732 shows, generating Rs 40.95 crore gross and Rs 34.65 crore nett at 49.3% occupancy.
The film’s opening has taken it past Nani’s previous biggest Day 1 worldwide gross of around Rs 38 crore for HIT: The Third Case. Dasara had opened with around Rs 36.25 crore worldwide.With its Rs 74.90 crore worldwide opening, The Paradise has now registered Nani’s biggest first-day collection.
