New Delhi, September 25: Meta has showcased Muse Charm, a standalone, keychain-like device designed to provide quick access to its Muse AI agent, at the company’s annual Meta Connect 2026 event. The pocket-sized device features a fingerprint sensor, a front-facing camera and a small display with an animated AI avatar. Users can tap the sensor to start interacting with Muse without opening an app or using a smartphone.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg demonstrated the device on stage alongside the company’s announcements for Ray-Ban Meta Audio, third-generation Ray-Ban Meta, Meta VR Glasses and new Meta Glasses. Meta said Muse Charm is designed for natural interaction with Muse through its real-time voice model. However, the company has not finalised the device’s hardware specifications, pricing or other details. Meta is targeting a “holiday launch”, potentially in December.
The device builds on Meta’s Muse AI platform, which was launched earlier this month. Muse is currently available in the US through dedicated apps for iOS, macOS and Android, as well as through WhatsApp. Muse is designed to perform tasks on behalf of users through a dedicated virtual machine called Muse Secure VM. It can send emails, book tickets, fill out forms, organise files, find documents and summarise information from services such as Messages, Calendar and Notes.
Meta also says Muse can retain information from previous conversations and use it when completing tasks. With Muse Charm, Meta is extending its AI agent beyond software and into dedicated hardware. The company is yet to announce the device’s final specifications, price and exact launch date.
