New Delhi, September 6: India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in their Women’s Asia Cup T20 match in Dubai, bowling them out for just 55 in 18.1 overs, their lowest-ever total in T20 Internationals.
Young spinners Shree Charani and Prema Rawat claimed three wickets each, while Deepti Sharma took two. India chased down the target in just 8.4 overs, with captain Harmanpreet Kaur unbeaten on 18. The match also marked Harmanpreet’s 150th T20 International as India captain, making her the first international captain, male or female, to reach the milestone.
Pakistan made a confident start at 27 without loss but collapsed to 36 for six as India’s spinners took complete control. Charani returned figures of 3/7, while Rawat finished with 3/9. India’s bowlers delivered 78 dot balls during Pakistan’s innings and never allowed them to recover. The victory was India’s seventh in eight T20 Asia Cup meetings against Pakistan.
