New Delhi, September 29: HCLSoftware, the software business division of HCLTech, has announced its intent to acquire Robotiq.ai, a Zagreb-based provider of enterprise robotic process automation (RPA) software. The acquisition is aimed at expanding HCLSoftware’s AI capabilities beyond decision-making and into task execution. HCLSoftware said enterprise demand is growing for AI systems that can not only reason but also reliably carry out work across complex business environments.
Robotiq.ai’s RPA platform allows AI-driven workflows to automate tasks in applications where APIs are unavailable or insufficient. The technology will be added to HCL UnO Agentic, extending its orchestration capabilities to execution. Robotiq.ai’s platform is used by large banks, insurance groups and telecom providers. It comes with ISO-certified security, audit logs and flexible deployment options.
“Enterprises are looking beyond AI experimentation toward production-scale automation that is secure, governed and reliable,” said Kalyan Kumar, President of HCLSoftware. Robotiq.ai CEO and co-founder Darko Jovišić said the company’s technology is built around automation that is useful, fast to deploy and reliable in production. The acquisition is expected to close in November 2026.
