New Delhi, September 4: The Delhi Traffic Police on Friday issued a traffic advisory for September 5 in view of a motorcade rehearsal scheduled from 10 am to 4 pm ahead of the upcoming BRICS summit in the national capital. According to the advisory, traffic diversions and movement restrictions will be enforced along several key roads in Delhi, including Sardar Patel Marg, Janpath, Barakhamba Road and Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg.
The traffic police urged commuters to plan their journeys in advance, allow extra travel time and opt for public transport, particularly the Metro. Commuters have also been asked to follow designated diversion routes and instructions from traffic personnel. Adding that the emergency and essential-service vehicles will receive priority passage.

The roads likely to be affected include Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Akbar Road, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Mathura Road, Moti Lal Nehru Marg, Satya Marg, Dr Zakir Hussain Marg, Brig. Hoshiyar Singh Marg, Africa Avenue Road and Shanti Path.
Other key routes that may witness traffic regulations include Janpath, Ashoka Road, Barakhamba Road, Tolstoy Marg, Ranjeet Singh Flyover, Niti Marg, Panchsheel Marg, Kemal Ataturk Marg, APJ Abdul Kalam Road, Press Enclave Road, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Josef Broz Tito Marg and Lala Lajpat Rai Marg.
