New Delhi, August 26: Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia, who attended the 43rd Foundation Day celebrations of the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), said India will lead the world in 6G. “I always say that we were behind the world in 4G, we walked with the world on 5G, but it is due to organization such as C-DoT that today, Government of India and every proud Indian can say that we will lead the world in 6G,” he said.
He said C-DOT is an organisation “truly embedded into the lives of every single citizen in our country” and has played a role in India’s journey in telecommunications.
Scindia attended the event along with Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Department of Telecommunications Secretary and Digital Communications Commission Chairman Amit Agrawal, senior officials, industry representatives and other distinguished guests.
The Minister also dedicated C-DOT’s 43rd Foundation Day to the young people present at the event, highlighting their role in driving innovation and invention. “Out of this large family here, over 50% of you are below the age of 30 and that is the demographic bulge and dividend that this organization enjoys,” Scindia said.
